I. Origins
ESVERI was born as a quiet classic. In contrast to the age-old notion that the loudest woman in the room is the strongest, we believe strength lies in elegance—that the deepest magnetism emanates from a subtle boldness. Borrowed from the Italian term “essere veri,” meaning ‘to be true,’ authenticity is the spirit behind all our products. We strive for our pieces to bring out our patron’s most genuine sense of self. ESVERI does not grapple for attention, rather it softly seduces notice. Our vision is to create jewelry that can be both an accent to everyday outfits, and a standalone piece of art—which is why ESVERI curates minimalist designs with high quality, bold structures.
II. Familial Heritage
Founder and creative director Dharmik Kamdar hand sketches and designs all the pieces himself. After receiving a degree from USC in media and working in the entertainment industry for several years, Dharmik yearned to return to his childhood fascination with jewelry design. Having been raised by a single mother who built a jewelry wholesale company while raising three kids, Dharmik was surrounded by jewelry and precious gems his entire life. Recalling some of his fondest memories of sketching designs in his mother’s office as a child, he felt inspired by his heritage and lineage to start his own entrepreneurial journey and create a line for strong women.
III. Travels
After a brief few years in the entertainment industry Dharmik took time off to travel through Asia working in several factories around India to learn the art of jewelry making. There he focused on honing his skills in wax carving, the process of turning two-dimensional jewelry sketches into three dimensional pieces. He then worked at a gemstone cutting company learning to distinguish traits of the highest quality gemstone through color and clarity. Combining his new skillset and eye, Dharmik created the first sketches of ESVERI.
IV. Product Now
The amalgamation of Dharmik’s travels and inspirations have created what ESVERI is today. Each piece in our collection is a timeless ode to the elegance every woman wishes to feel when heading out the door in the morning. We don’t believe in fast and flashy fashion, preferring taste over trend. ESVERI creates intricate pieces that give contemporary meaning to traditional designs—pieces that will last a lifetime.
